Your subject line is not a regular line in which you can write whatever you like especially if your goal is email marketing. This is why you need to talk about a major benefit in your subject line, so that your reader will know what to expect from the rest of your message. Every email you send out should have a big benefit for the prospect and this should act as unique selling point or a USP. Getting your e-mail read by the people it is sent to can be a stressful task if you can&#8217;t come up with a compelling reason for them to do so.</p><p><span
id="more-929"></span></p><p>All of your subscribers are going to want to know what&#8217;s in it for them. This is the exactly why many email marketers fail in the first place. They try to make the subject line mysterious and show as if something is hidden, when it has to be the other way round. There are going to be times when you will need to write a subject line that will pique someone&#8217;s curiosity but even then your USP should be clearly written right there. Your e-mail&#8217;s subject line is what will determine if the recipient will open the mail at all, so make sure you give it the right attention.</p><p>Perhaps one of the most effective approaches with subject lines is to continue the conversation with your audience. In other words, it&#8217;s about connecting your subject line to the body of your email in such a way that the flow is constant. One tactic is to write the subject line, but leave off the second half of the train of thought, and then just pick it up in the first line of the email. This can be used in practically any email, but you don&#8217;t want to overuse it. It also helps create a curiosity factor in the mind of the reader and makes him want to open the email and read it. Actually, this has been used for years and is still effective, but a lot does depend on what is actually written. You want to do this so there&#8217;s a feeling of wanting to know more, you just need to find out what it&#8217;s all about.</p><p>One the oldest methods to see how well you&#8217;re doing is to run tests for your emails. You should do this a lot because you will develop a better sense of what works best. There is no reason to procrastinate or hem and haw because you&#8217;re losing time and money. There are some very excellent email writers out there, so just find the big names in IM and then join their lists. Learn from other marketers, and you do that by subscribing to them, and then just wait for their emails to start arriving &#8211; won&#8217;t take long! If you have never done any testing, it&#8217;s easy because it&#8217;s just basically split testing.</p><p>All in all, e-mail marketing can quickly become complicated if you don&#8217;t try to keep all of the different elements organized. The subject lines of your e-mails are one of the most important parts of your campaigns. Even when you&#8217;re sending out a simple newsletter, it&#8217;s important to focus on creating the best subject for the email in order to increase the open rate.</p><div

It might sound too easy but the easier it is for people to fill out your form, the more people will sign up for it. There are lots of new IM&#8217;ers who think that the more information they get to begin with the better able they will be to market to their opt-ins. That&#8217;s not typically true. The truth is that, to put someone on a subscriber list, all you need is an e-mail address; sometimes even a name is unnecessary! That said, being able to personalize the e-mails you send out is a good thing so you should always ask your prospects for at least a first name to go with their e-mail addresses. That&#8217;s about it.</p><p><span
id="more-925"></span></p><p>Getting the rest of the information that you want can be done after the person has opted in to your list. After all, once someone has subscribed to your list you will have all the time in the world to gather more information about them. So as you see it&#8217;s really not necessary to ask for their phone number or postal address, unless you are going to ship out something when they subscribe. The reason all you really need is names and e-mail addresses in the beginning is that your thank you gifts to new subscribers will most likely be downloadable products or copies of your newsletter.</p><p>Here&#8217;s an important tip that can actually boost your subscriber rate: Always publish a privacy policy on your website and give a link to it right below your opt-in box. The reason you do this is to cut down on the fears people have about having their information sent out to or sold to spammers. Nobody wants to be bombarded by e-mail spam. This is why, when you link to a privacy policy, your subscribers are more likely to feel comfortable sharing their personal e-mail addresses with you. You should also add a small note saying that you do not share, rent or sell email addresses and respect their privacy. Taking such a simple step will take you a long way in building your email list.</p><p>Here is a hing that other list builders will not share with you: use your blog to help your list building efforts. Blogging is a great way to communicate and to pass on specific messages to prospective subscribers and customers.
